The most authentic web site on SCWCD (Sun's Web Component Developer Certification) is obviously the Sun's certification site The site has exam's objectives for SCWD, sample questions, FAQ etc. When preparing for SCWCD, this is the first site you should be looking at. Another good place to start your preparation for the certificaiton is Sun's objectives for the mock exams. They basically provide the topics that are covered in the exam.

Mock exams for SCWCD available for free

Sun offers a sample mock exam on SCWCD with 10 questions.

Sun has a 10 questions quiz on JSP. The questions have similar standard as the real SCWD exam.

Javaranch has a mock exam for SCWCD exam. The exam has 36 questions. The questions are clear and good, though slightly simpler than the real exam.

Anand Chawla's mock exam is probably the exam that is closest to the real exam, among the ones available for free.

withmilk.com also has a good mock exam with 100 questions.

jiris.com has a new mock exam with 40 questions.

Sites covering tutorials for SCWCD

Alx Dark has a very detailed and useful tutorial on SCWCD. It is probably the best tutorial available on the web.

Marty Hall has provided a quick tutorial that is directly based on the Sun's objectives.

Ken Brooks notes covers both the JSP 1.2 and Servlet 2.3 . They basically have copied the relevant portion of Servlet and JSP to create these notes.

Ths study notes from Michele are based directly on the exam objectives.

Sites covering study material on Servlets

The most important reference for Servlet is Sun's specifications for Servlets 2.3. Though the specifications are a little difficult to read, You should plan to read through them at least once.

Servlets is also a good resource on learning about Servlets. It is more readable than the Servlet Specifications.

Miftah Khan's Servlet cover version 2.3 of Servlets have already become a classic resource for the exam. They are based closely on the objectives.

Sites covering study material on JSP

The most important reference for JSP is Sun's specifications for JSP 2.2. Though the specifications are a little difficult to read, You should plan to read through them at least once.

Suns tutorial on JSP is also a good resource on learning about JSP. It is more readable than the JSP Specifications.

Miftah Khan's JSP is also good. But unfortunately it is based on JSP 1.1 where as the exam covers version 1.2.

Miftah Khan's JSP tutorial has a useful coverage of the Design Patterns that are covered in the exam

Sun has provided useful tutorials on the various Design patterns covered in the exam. These are -

Marty Hall, the author of famous book More Servlets and JSP, provides hands-on training on Servlets and JSP in US.

Commercial sites providing mock exams

Whizlabs offers a high quality, reasonably priced test simulator that includes 4 Mock Tests (236 Questions), Interactive Quiz (85 Questions) and Quick Revision Tips.

JWebplus offers a mock exam simulator consisting of 300 questions for $35.
